Israelis say No occupation, No invasion

Petition to be published in Israel

The petition below was initiated by Yitzhak Laor, a distinguished writer. It will soon be published as an advertisement in the Israeli daily newspaper Ha’aretz, signed by hundreds of Israelis, Jewish and Arab. While only Israelis can sign it, people in Britain and in other countries can endorse it, and help donate towards the costs of its publication.

Enough!

Israel is committing extensive war crimes. A country is in ruins, whole communities are being uprooted, thousands of families destroyed, hundreds of civilians killed, and thousands of civilians injured. No excuse can whitewash these crimes. The abduction of two soldiers, the killings in centres of dense population in the north of Israel, cannot cover the barbarity practised by Israel in Lebanon and at the same time in Gaza. Those crimes must be stopped. Right now!

We wholeheartedly endorse this petition and support its publication.
