1 DECEMBER 2006 INVITATION TO PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT Hope is always there, even though wars and violence are on the rampage all over the world, as are in our region. Yes, there is still hope, because people cry out for peace everywhere from Israel to Britain and the US, from Turkey to Colombia. Our resolution to listen to that cry and add our voice to it is as strong as ever, despite the fact that they try to gag it with iron bars and prison cells. We invite you to the press announcement to be made on 1 December 2006, Friday, in the Galatasaray Square in order to express our solidarity with Conscientious Objectors and all other prisoners of peace.
