Please take five or more
minutes today or when you receive this email to
visit the petition seeking Justice for John Carter, sign, and
forward it. Carter was murdered by prison guards at SCI Rockview who
attacked him with obscene amounts of pepper spray and electro-shock
weapons while he was in his solitary confinement cell after he protested
being deprived food. Carter spent the last ten years of his life in
solitary because he was a jailhouse lawyer, because he stood against
human rights violations and torture and attempted to expose the PA DOC.
His family is asking for a public outcry to force a legitimate criminal
investigation and prosecution of those responsible. This will be buried
if we let it. We need to make Carter's name known all over this country
as a man who died fighting oppression. Please sign the petition, forward
to your lists, post on your Facebook page, ask organizations you are
affiliated with to sign on, and have reporters/journalists you know get
in touch with us so that the story can be exposed. There are some
reporters who will be covering the story, but we need widespread,
national coverage. Please take a minute and help, if everybody does a
little we can achieve a lot, and fast.
