Laura Milo receives exemption from military service

Laura Milo receives exemption from military service  Thank you for your letters of support for Laura Milo. The good news is, her bravery and your efforts seem to have worked! While she was not granted Conscientious Objector status by the Supreme Court of Justice (the final stop in the legal case), she was granted a release from military service for mental reasons. In other words, Laura will not have to serve in the IDF.

Here is an excerpt from a letter written to us by Daniel Milo, Lauras father:

Six weeks ago, Laura was exempted from service for 'mental' reasons, as befits this country. Where sane people serve the forces of evil, it is an honour to have a diploma of insanity, isn't it? She continues to do what she does for the last three years: social activism in 15 neglected, foresaken neighbourhoods in Israel, from Yerucham in the Negev to Shlomi in the Galil.    Thank you all for your efforts and hearts, Daniel Milo
